The author began with an interesting premise and has the perfect background to effectively narrate the story (which is worth its weight in gold!). Her journalistic skills are evident and impressive…  We felt the story really took flight somewhere around page 57, when the abductor takes Thandi to the mine. Overall, the author has everything she needs to write a fantastic novel,  one that will reveal all the issues the author is passionate about but not all the knowledge she possesses.
